Margaret B. Mitchell dies at 101 years

Margaret passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, April 19, 2019, the end of a long life, well lived. She was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on March 29, 1918 where her family had moved from Great Britain to homestead. Church, family and friends were very important to Margaret. She was an active member in Sheffield Baptist in Halifax and in Windsor United Baptist. She was a warm, welcoming and gracious host to many relatives, friends and travelling missionaries.

She is survived by son, Bruce (Jean); daughter, Marilyn Mackie; grandchildren, Maggie and Dan Mitchell and Heather and Wesley Mackie; many nieces and nephews who will dearly miss their Aunt Marg.

She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Mitchell; parents, George and Helen Taylor; siblings, George Taylor and Joyce Paeth; son-in-law, Hilton Mackie.
