Obituary of Laura Hilda Wilson

WILSON (Baxter), Laura Hilda

Age 78 of Windsor, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2018, at Hants Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.  A very private person whose life was dedicated to her family, Laura quietly slipped away, knowing that her loved ones were by her bedside.

Born in Wentworth Creek, Laura was the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Bowie) Baxter. She is survived by John, her loving husband of 56 years; beloved daughters, Jennifer (Tim Bayers) and Catherine; grandchildren, Evan Bayers (Holly Adams), Abbie Bayers and Chloe Wilson Rogers.  

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Laura’s physician, Dr. Paige Stevens, and to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Emergency Department and unit 200 HCH, for their kindness and compassion shown Laura during her hospitalizations.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). In accordance with her wishes, Laura’s remains have been cremated. There will be no public commemoration.  A private committal in the Baxter Family Lot at Maplewood Cemetery will take place at a later date.
