I missed my knitting buddy this afternoon and will for many Tuesday afternoons to come. What an intelligent, warm and gracious lady, with a great sense of humour and always up for new adventures, like trying my spinning wheel and tasting the Robbie Burns haggis. I prize the socks she knitted for me. In one of our last conversations, she told me that the biggest pleasure of knitting for people is that the recipient will never look at the gift without thinking of you. And it's true.

Our fond memories of Mrs. MacDuff span many years, and we offer our condolences to every member of the family. The connection between the MacDuffs and the Vickers was strong, especially with the friendship between Elsie and Eileen. Their cottages at Big Mush-a-mush were important to both families. Eileen was a special lady. She was devoted foremost to family. She worked many years at office of Drs. Patterson and Morse. When I was there yesterday there were many positive memories both from staff and patients.

I was fortunate to have met Eileen several times over the past three years while visiting my Father at Windsor Elms. Eileen would often sit with us and chat about her life, and her family. It was very clear that she loved her family deeply. I only knew her for a short time, but I had great respect and fondness for her. I will miss her. I am so very sorry for your loss.
