Dear Christine and Ellen,
Last week when I dropped in at the nursing home in Windsor, I was surprised and shocked at the same time to find out that Duncan had passed away.
I’m really sorry for your lost for I too lost my father a year ago. I haven’t seen Duncan since 2013 after my father had a fall. After the incident, my father required 24-hour care and I was his only dependent in Canada. And Christine I can appreciate what you went through with Alexander.
Duncan and I had many things in common to talk about, one thing I treasured was our discussions about the Bible’s hope for the future, where death and sufferings were be things of the pass. Imagine the time when we will be welcoming back our dead loved ones! Revelation 21:4-5; John 5:28-29
Every time Duncan and I spoke he would always mentioned you both. Christine, he loved you for your devotion and Ellen, your dad was very proud of your accomplishments and the person you have become.
I’m privilege that in my lifetime I had met a wonderful person like Duncan. Even though, he was a large man compared to me he had a soft spoken voice and he always attributed good things to others. I look forward to getting to know him better in God’s promised paradise on earth. Psalms 35:11, Isaiah 45:18
Christine and Ellen, I hope that you will find comforts in days ahead. Be assured that the God of comfort is always there for you. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.

To Duncan's family-
Dear Friends-
I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Duncan but I know my daughter, Nancy Lynn Forbes had a special place for him in her heart. Nancy was a nurse on Haliburton Place and I am told by her co-workers that Duncan was very special to her - perhaps because her Dad had multiple sclerosis as well and she could relate to Duncan's health issues.
Nancy had a severe liver condition and passed away on April 9, 2018. I know she would want me to pass along her condolences on the loss of her dear friend.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Duncan and I talked much through the years and I always stopped in to see him when I was visiting from Australia. He was much devoted to Masonry and I think that helped him deal with his disease. I will miss him very much......

Ellen my heart goes out to you and your family. Your father was truly an inspiration and a mentor to myself and may other men who took the masonic path. The in depth conversations about the craft and his unwavering stance on any number of subjects was always welcomed even when I disagreed. His love of laughter and the way he embraced his passions could only ever be trumped by the was he spoke of his family and how proud he was of you. My deepest condolences.
