Obituary of Norman "Norm" Ross Lamont
Age 67, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at home, with his wife by his side, after a short battle with cancer.
Norm was born September 12, 1950, in Penticton, British Columbia. He was the youngest son of the late Garth Royston and Alberta Lenore (Bodkin) Lamont. He is survived by his wife, Beth Melanie (Belong); daughters, Jenna Lynne (Scott) Sheffer; Caitlin Anne (Jason) Cavicchi and three beautiful granddaughters, Melany, Evelyn, and Stella, all of Dartmouth. Norm is also survived by his oldest brother, Ronald Garth (Patricia) Lamont, of Armstrong, B.C.; sisters, Lois Marlene (Allen), of Lytton, B.C.; Shirley Ann (Rick) Garbutt, of Calgary, Alberta; several nieces and nephews, Roger, Rory, Pamela, Kim, Rhonda, Anthony, Shawn, Angela and Jennifer.
He was also predeceased by brother, Robert Westley Lamont and brother-in law, Clarke Allen.
Norman Ross grew up in False Creek near Vancouver. He was a certified welder and accomplished wood craftsman and he had the ability to create beautiful gardens and landscaping. His talent was on display whenever you entered his property and home. He had great respect and fondness for all the natural world with a special love for his dogs, Cisco, Schatzie and Dawson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor, NS (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation by request. A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, April 21 in Falls Lake Lodge, Falls Lake Resort, 796 Pioneer Dr., Rev. Kevin Cox officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
