An Outdoorsman walked a time worn trail leading to a pond known by many. As he journeyed he passed some he knew fishing from favorite spots. How she going? Not bad, You? Just small talk, a smile and a wave. His special spot was up at the head of the pond where it formed a deep pool from the brook that flowed into it. When he arrived there was another using a fly rod covering the water in a quiet reverend manner.
AH, there you are said the fellow, I have been waiting for you. For Me, said our Outdoorsman somewhat puzzled. Do I know you?
The Fellow smiled and said he was going to guide him up to the pool beyond the gate; and then before them opening up lighted by rays of sunshine cutting through the misty morn was the path. You are the Lord : Yes and as He placed his arms around our Outdoorsman's shoulders all the pains, sorrows, trials, and worries gave way to a restful peace. The Lord walked and talked guiding him to the Great Outdoors within Heaven where the Golden Pool awaits.

when i heard the news of your passing my heart felt so sad for your sister and your dad. they say that life is short and it was short for you. but i will always remember the good times that we had together on the farm when i was growing up. i visited Nova Scotia last September and i wanted so much to see you and your Dad. i heard that you were sick and that your Dad also wasn't very well. sometimes we don't get the chance to say goodbye to the ones that we care about so i'm going to say goodbye to you and when you get to heaven if you see my Mom tell her i miss her and i love her, Goodbye Aldie and may you R.I.P.
