Edith, Stephen, John, Ruth and family,

When I first met Art, Edith, John, and Ruth ( Stephen was not yet born) 47 years ago I realized very quickly that your home was one filled with love, kindness, and respect.
Art was a wonderful man who always had a smile, enjoyed life, and always first and foremost for him was his love for his family.

Sorry to read about Art’s passing in the paper. Even though I knew he has had serious health issues of late, it is a difficult time for all of you. I feel privileged to have gotten to know over the years. I will always remember his hearty laugh, winning smile and contagious sense of humour. He was a great man with so many interests. Hopefully the memories of the past will help you deal with his loss. As hard as his death is, it is comforting to know that he is now at peace and no longer suffering. I am so sorry for your loss. Art was my first bus driver in North Grand Pre. He let me help with the lights at the end of our dead end road. Every day I would sing him a song before I got off the bus and he humored me and laughed. So for old times sake , one last time , here goes my little song.

Edie, Ruth, Stephen, John and all. --- So sorry I am not physically able to attend Art's service. My thoughts and prayers will be with you as they have been to now. We cannot turn back the years, however we can look forward. Life will certainly be different without Art.
Different can be a blessing. Edie, you have been and are one remarkable woman. You
