Dear Linda, Mark & Family, Lorrianne & Family, Andy & Family,
So very sorry to hear of Al's passing. I have so many, many fond memories of growing up right beside each of you. Al was a very special man and very giving of his time to so many over the countless years. We are all blessed to have known him.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. He's in a much better place - that I know.
Love and prayers - Chris & Susan

Linda, Andy, Lorry Anne, Mark and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Al’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all... I wish I could be there as you were all there for us when both mom and dad died. Much of that time is a blur, but I always recall how much your presence and support meant to myself and the rest of the family. So please know I am with you in heart and spirit. May the fond memories of Al carry you through the tough times my friends.
I’ll never forget how much Al and Linda and you guys did for us over the years as I grew up, from all the hanging out and horsing around your house he put up with, playing baseball in your yard, when we’d raid the garden for tasty carrots, to when you all took us in and helped look after us so much when my mother was sick. Truly like a second family to us all, and Al was a big part of that. There are many fond memories there and I still think about them, and will cherish them forever.
Lastly, I want to share this little story... Only Linda may recall that shortly after I left home for the great March West to join the Force here, I came back for a visit and stopped at the house. Al and Linda gave me a wonderful framed picture of Uniacke house as a gift... so that I’d always remember where I came from. I cherish that and still have it in my house today. So to the kids - may you all remember where you came from, and how the wonderful people you are and the beautiful families you have, are part of your father living on in you all.
Love and hugs from Alberta,
Mark, Megan and Ryland

To Al's Family, we wish to send our deepest sympathy at this time of loss. His smile and upbeat personality were so welcoming when we visited our parents at the Haliburton. His little visits down the hall to their room was always welcome. He will be missed.

To the family,
I met Al when my mother (Minnie DeWolfe) was a resident in Haliburton Place. I always enjoyed our chats and we also shared a number of laughs. He certainly liked the Montreal Canadiens and he told me about how he enjoyed working in the garden. His love for his family was very evident. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Cherish your memories. My sincere condolences to the family.

We were saddened to read of Al's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Linda and family. I know that Al was unable to attend our meetings in recent years, but he had attended many in the past.
I was pleased to have a nice phone conversation with him last May about our group and the limited number of meetings that we are able to have now
Sincerely,
Eleanor Grennan, President of Polio Nova Scotia
