HUGHES, Allan Robert
Age 62, of Windsor, passed away at home on Friday, August 25, 2017. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Melward and Ada (Sibley) Hughes.
Allan is survived by daughters, Roseanna, Greenhill; Misty, Windsor; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; siblings, Kenny and Garnet Hughes; sisters, Grace (John) Oickle, Mabel Penny, Rosemary Hughes; many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Antony Sanderson and Wilfred Hughes; grandparents, Theodore and Nina Sanford.
Allan was a labourer and did various jobs in Nova Scotia and Ontario. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private family interment will be held at a later date in Digby. Donations in memory of Allan may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Nova Scotia Division, 137 Chain Lake Dr., Halifax, NS B3S 1B3.
