Obituary of Robert F. Pitts

PITTS, Robert Frederick - 75, of Lockhartville, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born in Windsor on April 23, 1937 Robert was the son of the late Ernest and Bessie (Walsh) Pitts.Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Margaret Patterson; one daughter, Joan (Andrew) Benedict, St. Croix; two sons, James, Middleton; Robert (Sylvia) Bridgewater; sisters, Florence Zinck; Phyllis (Charles) Chambers, Hants Border; Audrey Faulkner; Mary (John) Faulkner; Faye (Ronald) MacInnis, all of Hantsport; Noreen (Norman) Murphy, Mt. Denson; Judy Pitts (Garnet), Lockhartville; brothers, Lawrence (Sherri), Bishopville; Gary (Marion), Hantsport; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by a daughter, Janet, in infancy; two brothers, James, in infancy, and Richard; sister, Betty. Robert’s daughter, Julie, passed away suddenly only hours after her father.Arrangements have been entrusted DeMont Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor (902-798-8317), where a funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, May 10, Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will follow in Lockhartville Cemetery. Family flowers only by request, however, donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
