I received a phone call from Georgie Lou Huss, daughter of Owen Frame, Grampie's brother. She is not well ,almost blind and unable to send a card but she would like me to pass on her condolences to the family on her behalf. She has good memories of visiting Gay's River and spending time with Doris in her younger years. She said Dois is one the first of her cousins to go.

So sorry to learn of your mother's passing. Although it is hard to lose one's mother, just remember all the good times and know she is no longer suffering. We lost our card player this year too and miss the games a lot. But now maybe our mothers will be doing one of their favourite things and playing cards again as they did when Mom lived on Tonge Hill. Dear Bev, I wish to send my regrets for not being able to be at Doris's funeral this afternoon. Francis and Donnie are a wonderful part of my Milford/Lantz congregation and since I have come here I have had a few visits with Doris when she was here to see them. I have grown to get to know her more because of this. She was always kind, friendly and so devoted to church and family. I will hold you all in my prayers as I know you will miss her deeply. Whenever I hear of the loss of a mother or mother in law, I think of the loss of my own mom of course and I am glad she had such a good friend in you. Take Care through this difficult time. I was quite shocked and saddened to read of Doris' passing. I did not know she had been ill. On one of my last trips I saw her at Tremain Cres and she was her usual busy self, off to one gathering or another. She was so proud of her children, grand children and great grand children. It must be a very sad time for you all. I wish I were there to make my condolences in person. She was my primary teacher and I always remember her as being so kind.
