Obituary of Anthony Milfred Parker

PARKER, Anthony Milfred Age 95, Falmouth, formerly of Windsor and South Rawdon, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born October 23, 1921 in South Rawdon, he was a son of the late Clarence and Enna (Wellwood) Parker. In the early years, Anthony worked on the farm with his father, then moving to Windsor in 1957. He worked for many years for Municipal Spraying Ltd., Don Dill Construction Ltd., and for many years as a self employed carpenter. In 1985, he retired and moved back to the family farm in South Rawdon. Anthony was a member of Welsford Lodge No. 26 A.F. & A.M., Windsor, receiving his 50 year jewel. Anthony is survived by sons, Earle (Debbie), South Rawdon; Lee (Darlene), Hillsvale; and David (Anne) Cap Rouge, Quebec; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter. Besides his parents, Earle was predeceased by his wife, the former Ethel E. Campbell (September 10, 2008); brothers, Clarence and Austin. Special thanks to the Gladys Manning Retirement Home and Windsor Elms Village for all their care and compassion shown to Anthony. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). No visitation by family request. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 3, in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Carson Baxter officiating. A reception will be held in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre, followed by a private family interment in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Centre Rawdon. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anthony may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Centre Rawdon.
