I was saddened to read of your Dad''s sudden passing. He was always so pleasant and friendly when I visited Dad at REAL Residence. My condolences Bidy,Allie,Mike and Craig. Sorry to read of your Dad's passing yesterday.
Growing up on our street he was the Dad always well dressed in suit and tie who drove new cars every few years. His 75 Belair was the first car on the street that required the "new" unleaded gas. Craig took great pride in showing off Doug's new "company car" with the stereo/radio introducing me to Neil Diamond, your Dad had tons of 8 Tracks. As a member of the fire dept. many will remember him high up in the Radio Room...he used to sit up there during the fireman's auctions looking down shaking his head at George Tracey and crew for trying to up the biding prices but more often ended up as the buyers.
In recent years had a few conversations with your Dad while home visiting Mom and Carl. He would be cruising on his scooter. He was a good neighbor to us all growing up. Please enjoy the stories and memories that you will hear about him on Friday....Take Care.

Sincere condolences to the Shay family on the passing of your Dad, grandfather, and uncle. I have so many wonderful memories of our "talks" over many years, especially when he stopped in on his motorized wheelchair to catch up on the news. He is one of those Hantsport patriarchs whom we all remember as children, and he will be dearly missed. My last wonderful memory of him was at the Dr. office, where Bidy was waiting for him to arrive from R.E.A.L. with Craig.
