HUGHES, Wilfred James Died at the age of 60 due to a motor vehicle accident. Born in Windsor to Melward and Ada Hughes. He is survived by brothers, Alan, Kenny and Garnet Hughes; sisters, Grace (John) Oickle; Mabel Penny; Rosemary Hughes; many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, a great-great nephew, cousins, aunts and many friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Antony Sanderson; grandparents, Theodore and Nina Sanford. Wilfred loved to fish. Just as soon as it was time, he was there with his fishing pole and anybody who would go with him. He spent his early years in Digby with his Aunt Shelia and Uncle Wilfred Sibbley. He will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A funeral service celebrating Wilfred's life will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, September 29 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Digby. Family flowers only, by request, however, donations in memory of Wilfred may be made to a charity of one's choice.
