Obituary of Keith Paul Burgess

BURGESS, Keith Paul Age 59, of Brooklyn. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Keith announce his passing, during the early hours on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Regretfully, Keith passed after a struggle with cancer, lovingly held by his son, Matthew and best friend, Pam. Born on June 17, 1956 in Halifax, he was a son of the late Paul and Ada (Thomas) Burgess. Keith is survived by his sister, Gloria Davidson, PEI; companion, Pamela Chandler, Brooklyn; children, Matthew (Denise), Hilden; Kate Burgess (Trevor), Cambridge; Angela Chandler, Windsor; Sherri Chandler (John), Falmouth; Denise Chandler (Jared), Sweets Corner; grandchildren, who knew him by Pappa, Thomas, Kaleen, Jacob, Bryson, Nicole, Emily, Cloey, Jorden, Tegan, Isabella, Janaya, Julianna, Kali and Leland; sister in law, Pat Thomas, Brooklyn and niece, Heidi Thomas, Edmonton, AB. Keith was pre-deceased by his sister, Beatrice Peach and brother, Ernest Thomas. During Keith's lifetime he worked in construction, painting and was very handy with computers. Music was his passion and he loved playing and singing at home. He loved to fish, enjoying many trips out with "'Niser" and he also enjoyed cooking and baking for his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Gordon Flynn officiating.
