Linda & family, I enjoyed my regular visits with Pauline when I picked up her mail and usually lingered for a drink. She was always so knowledgeable and interested in local and worldwide affairs and raised the bar for everything she was involved with. Sorry for your loss.

I'm very sorry to hear of Pauline's passing. I knew her as "Mrs. Spence" when she first taught me in grade 5. She was a great teacher and later I knew her as a family friend, always kind and interested and extremely gracious. My sympathies to her family.

To the family of Pauline Spence:
I was sorry to learn of Pauline's passing. She was a great, compassionate teacher and added so much to our community. I knew her through Zion United Church and the school. She was always so friendly and gracious to all whom she met. She will be fondly remembered by all for her wonderful contributions to our community and to education in general.

On behalf of IODE Nova Scotia I wish to express our sincere condolences on the passing of Pauline. She was a lovely lady about whom no one had anything but good to say. She did love her IODE and it is nice to see that she is wearing her badge in the picture accompanying her obituary. She is well remembered by those at the Provincial and National levels of our organization. Rest in peace, Pauline.

I am so sorry to learn of Pauline's death. I had the good fortune to meet Pauline through her kind support for the QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation, one of the many causes important to her. I always looked forward to visiting her in her beautiful home whenever I was traveling the south south. She was a gracious and kind host, and I enjoyed hearing stories of her home in Newport Station and her teaching career. My condolences to all of her family as you mourn her death and give thanks for her life among you.

Sending along my condolences to all of Pauline's family. I grew up next door to her house in Liverpool that she and Merle built and spent a lot of time with them, especially during my childhood. I have fond memories of having many breakfasts at her house and also dropping by for frequent visits. She took great pride in her amazing garden that bordered our property. She was a wonderful neighbour and member of the community, and will be greatly missed.
