Sindy,
Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember my first week working in the optical industry, meeting Rick's father working on Webster st. Kentville. What a knowledgeable guy he was.
When I met Rick for the first time I could see where his Intuition came from. Rick had a lot of insight to offer. You always left with a greater knowledge of things. He will be greatly missed.

Rick was (is) such a real individual. His love of music was always in the forefront and I truly enjoyed talking to him about our various gigs and playing opportunities. I will miss that and just wish that we had more time to get together and jam.
Well I'm sure we will, but not just yet.

Well buddy I guess from one drummer to another, the sounds of our drums will linger for a long time to come. We are lucky to have music in our lives. I am sad today, my mom told me of your unfortunate passing, our lives were so far apart but I think of my far away family and all the strong family often. I think of the days we all shared on the farm and how happy I was when any of the cousins were coming over to see us. A close loving family is the most important thing on earth and you were one of the lucky ones to have a STRONG family. Rest in peace my cousin, my friend and you can use my hands anytime to enspire me with your music on my drums.

Sindy, I was shocked to here about Rick's passing. Although it has been nearly 15 years since I had the honour of working with Rick at the Professional Eye Health Center, I still think about the two or you with the fondest memories. He was a great person, and a brilliant optician and friend. The two of you were a perfect combination. I'd like to offer you my heartfelt sympathy, and also to his children and family. Although it is never an easy thing to lose a loved one, you will be reminded more of all the good that he has brought to you and all that knew him. Cherish that!!

I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I know that he touched the lives of so many people over the years. Although I didn't get to know Rick well while working at Doctor's Eye Clinic as he worked out of another location, I always enjoyed seeing him at social events. Of course, Sindy, since we worked in the same office, I always felt like I knew Rick pretty well through your stories. I know Sindy that you would have provided so much support to Rick over the years especially while he was ill so I am hoping that you can take some time now for yourself in order to start healing. I have lots of special memories of Rick especially during our younger years when he and Pierre D'Eon would develop a keen knack for ball hockey skills behind the old Save Easy store in North end Kentville. We would play for hours there. Kim and I being a few years older would play against Rocket, Rick and Pierre. Rick went on to become an all star sniper for us at the Medical Centre where we played for many years. I remember Rick learning a few rifts on guitar until he discovered his talent on drums. In recent years I had the opportunity to get together with Rick with a couple of bands. He really got a feel for those electronic drums. Back in 2006, Rick did some recordings of him, Alex Pulsifer, Dave D'Eon, and I with the band known as the "Outsiders". I still have some of the CD's which I will treasure. Dear Mrs Strong & Family: It was with sadness that I heard of Ricks passing.I had looked after him for several years until the last year or so.I knew his mom Polly who worked at Dairy Queen back in 1985.I could understand where Rick inherited some his moms good nature.I was saddened to learn of Polly's passing when I was informed of this by Rick. Sincere condolences are extended to Rick's family and many friends. I was saddened a couple of weeks back to hear of Rick's illness and shocked today to hear of his passing.
