Age 54, Of Walton, Hants Co., passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in New Glasgow, she moved to Walton in 1992 with her husband and family.
Christene was a “stay at home mum” who loved to play the piano. All the neighbour kids were always welcome in her home.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and M. Joyce (Phelan) Brownrigg and infant sister, Bernadette.
Christene is survived by husband, Gilford “Leslie”, Walton; daughter, Monica (Cameron), Cogmagun; sons, Justin (Jen), Windsor; Kris (Meaghan), Elmsdale; Mitchell (Stephanie), Windsor; six grandchildren; brother, Mike (Chris), Stellarton; sister, Bonnie (Ken), B.C. She will be sadly missed by her family and her dog, Shasha.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation or service by family request. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
