Obituary of Pauline Pearl Andrews

Please share a memory of Pauline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Age 83, of Whites Lake and born September 30, 1932 in Halifax. Pauline passed away on October 18th, 2015 peacefully at Ivany Place. She looked forward to her passage into the next life without the limiting pain she felt. Pauline was predeceased by her sister Mildred Gallant, mother Julia (Fox) Leblanc and father Joseph Leblanc. Early in Pauline's life she enjoyed being part of the DND group in a clerical position. She spoke fondly of those days. After marrying her lifelong partner, Edward Andrews, she decided to stay home to raise her children, David and John. She always remained close with her sister Mildred, brother-in-law Albert "Nobby", and her nieces, Alberta Pringle and Julie Dugay (Gary) and nephews, Garth (Susan) and Dougie who grew up in Summerside, PEI. They remained an important part of Pauline's life. After raising her own children, Pauline did childcare and formed a bond with Matthew and Sarah McLeod who became like grandchildren. Pauline has two grandsons born to David and wife Toni, Daniel and Mark of Milton, Queens County. Pauline enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved Coca-Cola, corn puffs and chocolate. She enjoyed reading a book every day as she was a voracious reader. She had an amazing green thumb and had her own greenhouse. She grew plants from seeds and whatever she touched bloomed. She looked forward to the Veseys Seed Catalogue that came out in winter and saw it as the first sign of spring. She was involved in her community and the Garden Club. She had a soft spot for animals and loved her cats. Most of all Pauline loved her spouse of 49 years, Ed. She was concerned about him even when she was not well herself. She is survived by her husband Edward; son, David (Toni); grandsons, Daniel and Mark, as well as her nieces and nephews. No visitation at Pauline's request. On Saturday, October 24th a celebration of Pauline's life will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 180 Sandy Cove Rd, Terence Bay at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. Following the reception, a private interment will be held at St. Timothy's Cemetery, 896 Prospect Bay Rd. Rev. Cheryl Rafuse officiating. Family flowers only.
