My sincere condolences to you all, Doug, Bidy, Allie Mike and Craig...reading about her pies, tarts, bread etc brought back one of the many times Phillip and I came to get Craig on the way to school at about age 12. She had a big pot boiling on the stove. I told Maureen her roast beef smelled really good.....she said it's not roast beef, I said it sure smells like it and she said look and see...I could not believe it was a cow's tongue!!!!! Thinking of you all and so sorry for your loss....take care.

Our condolences to the Shay/Johnson family. We were shocked and saddened to hear of Maureen's passing. We remember Maureen as being a very kind, giving and generous person who never complained. Our funniest moment with her was when we and Doug and Maureen went on a camping/fishing trip to Newfoundland. We were at Gross Morne and Stan and Doug were fly fishing. Maureen and I were on the bank watching when Stan made a cast and all he caught was Maureen. We had to go into Deer Lake Medical Centre so the fish hook and fly could be taken out of Maureen's eyebrow which looked rather funny but she laughed about the whole ordeal. Our thoughts are with you.
