Obituary of Sheila Marie Munroe

MUNROE, Sheila Marie Age 92, of Halifax, passed away peacefully Friday, May 22, 2015 in Arborstone Enhanced Care Home, Halifax. Born on May 1, 1923 in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Power) Munro. Sheila was a Catholic and went to St. Patrick's girl's school. She took care of her younger siblings after her mother's early death. She loved her family and friends, being kind and selfless made her happy. She always went to visit and comfort anyone that was sick or had misfortune. Sheila worked for W.H. Schwartz and Sons for many years. She always dreamed of winning the lotto 6/49 so she could help everyone she knew. She loved music and to sing and dance, playing bingo and shopping. She also loved going to Windsor for weekend getaways. Sheila is survived by daughter, Sheila Boisclair; grandchildren, Guy and Marcie Boisclair; sisters, Audrey Parker and Pat Hemeon. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Clayton D. Munroe; companion for many years, Frederick Caldwell; sister, Molly Ells; brothers, Stewart, Cyril and Andrew Munro. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). A funeral service celebrating Sheila's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tom Henderson officiating.
