Our sincere sympathy to Ronnie and family. Barb was the cousin that I didn't get to see often but I always had great memories of our childhood suppers at Grammy Hane's. She was always smiling and interested in whatever was going on in our lives. She will be greatly missed.

Jason, i can't seem to find the words I am wanting to say, your mom was such an amazing woman, who I will never forget. I am so thankful I had the chance to meet her and spend the ball season helping her and Michelle BBQ. She loved you and her family so much. I read with great sadness of the death of Barbara Hanes. I remember her and Ronnie so vividly because I had them in my home room the first year of my teaching career, which began in 1962-63 at Hants West Rural High School in Brooklyn. I appreciated the reference to "soul mate" as they sat behind each other in the aisle next to the window. They were the most serene couple (in grade nine) with a happy and positive outlook on life. And so, 53 years later I extend sincere sympathy to Ronnie and his family in their loss: you will have many strong memories of Barb to sustain you at this difficult time.
