My deepest condolences go out to the McCully children and their families. Auntie Buddy was not just my Godmother - to my family, she was the face of Hantsport and heart of Canada. My mother and father (and sister) were young immigrants to Canada in 1973; shortly thereafter, I was born, and Auntie Buddy embraced us, constantly looking out for us and cooking countless meals. It is thanks to Auntie Buddy that my family was able to adjust and adapt to Canada and the customs of Nova Scotia. Some say the key to life is meeting the right people - for me, that was Auntie Buddy. I will always remember you.
Although I write this with a very heavy heart, I am happy that over the past few years, I have had a chance to reconnect with Auntie Buddy and Uncle Len. May God Bless and Keep You Always. Rest in Peace.

It is with great sorrow that I feel the passing of Buddy, she has followed Len to join him in heaven. Our families have shared both good and bad times with sharing of friendship, our christian walks that have had us traveling side by side. I have memories of haying on the Homes Hill property and being welcomed and thanked for the removal of the hay from their property. I also have memories of the McCully family setting in front of my family enjoying the spiritual leadership in the Hantsport Baptist Church. I remember my mother visiting Buddy to see that she had buried her onion bulbs completely in her garden. Buddy found my mother in the garden unearthing the bulbs so that she could enjoy the onions and not just the tops. Her presence will be felt, far and wide as she and Len cast long shadows not just locally in the community as well as wherever those who had the opportunity to come into their presence. May God's presence carry you through this time.

Thinking of you all during this difficult time. I have many great memories of both your mom and dad growing up in Hantsport. Your parents both played important roles in our town and they were wonderful people. My fondest memory of your mom is of her sitting in her lawn chair under the tree at the edge of the lawn of their home on Holmes Hill, waving a Canada flag and cheering on the runners (me included) in the Beazley Memorial road races. I always looked forward to seeing her on that day (made me run a little faster) and think of her every time I pass your home on Holmes hill whether I am on foot or driving! I knew Buddy growing up in Hantsport but I really got to know her at The Elms. We use to talk alot about Hantsport and I loved really getting to know her. I havebto say thank you to the family cause it was an honor to be able to get to know her at the elms. We have lost a lovely lady. And as her family you have lost a great member of your family. My heart goes out to you and you are all in my prayers. I know she loved each one of you cause she loved to talk about her family. She was very proud of you.
