My condolences to all of you. Sorry to hear about Stewart.Just found out about it by email from some one in Ellershouse.
Stew and I were at Newport Radio Station and also served together at the Atlantic Diving Unit. We traveled together, to and from the Halifax area, many many times in our military years. I was very fortunate to have been able to drop in and see Stew two years ago while visiting family in Nova Scotia. We had a great visit in his home in Windsor. Memories were recounted by both of us.
I do remember you, the children of Stewart and Colleen. Once again, I am sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you. Pete

To The Family,
So sorry to learn of Stewart's passing. I worked nights with Stewart, and enjoyed every night. First Stewart would say "What did you bring to eat?" Of course our favourite was "Road Kill". Will always remember him. He was a great man. R.I.P. Stewart.

It is with great sadness I read of another friend passing. Working with Stewart was always great for the soul. He made the most stressful night shift easier knowing he was there. There was 'nothing' he wouldn't help with or couldn't do. He loved to be called
"Doctor White"...he will be missed. Keep him in your hearts 'kids'. I know anyone who had the pleasure of working with him will.

I worked for many years at HCH, and called on Stewart numerous times for help with a problem........he could fix just about anything! Many of the best laughs that I had during my working years were when Stewart was around. RIP "Dr. White"

As a young nurse working the night shift in the early 80's I very quickly learned that Stewart alias Dr White could be counted on in any situation for help and support(with a good dose of fun thrown in as well) He was a wonderful guy who you can be very proud of!

Condolences to all of you on the loss of Stewart. I worked at Hants Community Hospital for many years and got to know Stewart very very well. I thought he was one of the most helpful guys around and would do anything to assist us nurses when we were in a pinch, whether it was a snow filled parking lot or needing assistance fixing something in the patient care area. The fun I had when I took his bike for a run around the inside of the hospital on night duty is something I will never ever forget. As Stewart was know to say, "Well Bonnie, anyone can ride the bike outside!!!"
