Obituary of Olive V. O'Rourke

O’ROURKE, Olive Vivian  -  88, Windsor, Hants Co., passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012, in the Cardiac Care Unit of the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Paradise, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Franklyn "Frank" and Mary Pamela (Vaughan) Levy.Raised and educated in Bridgetown, Olive had worked for many years at the Royal Bank and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. She enjoyed her home, gardens, baking and visiting with her friends. Olive was a member of the Windsor United Church and U.C.W. and held various positions in the church. Surviving are daughter, Ann (Ross) Geldart, Windsor; grandson, Scott (Colleen O’Toole), Halifax. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank; sister, Ena Hills; brother, Albert Levy; three brothers in infancy.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, March 21. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, March 22, in Windsor United Church, 613 King Street, Windsor, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. Private family interment service will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, with a reception following in the Church Annex.
