Age 99 (and would have celebrated her 100th birthday in April), of Greenfield, Hants Co., passed away peacefully, after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Eva was born on April 22, 1915 in Windsor.She was the wife of the late Walter Gilman Millett. Eva was a member of the St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Centre Rawdon as well as a member of the sewing circle. She is survived by daughters, Katherine Dorey and Blanche Swinamer; brother, Aubrey Davis; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Eva was predeceased by her birth parents, William and Ida (McDunough) Davis; foster parents, Robert and Margaret (Sanford) Campbell; grandchild, Larry Dorey; son-in-law, Bernard Dorey; brother, Clarence Davis.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Friday, November 7. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8 in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 1523 Hwy 14, Centre Rawdon, Rev. Carson Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted. Donations in memory of Eva may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Centre Rawdon.
