Obituary of Lawrence William Eddy

Age 77, of Falmouth, formerly of Hantsport, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 11, 2014 in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born on May 25, 1937 in East River, Sheet Harbour he was a son of the late Albert and Myrtle (Spinney) Eddy.Lawrence loved to garden, and even planted one every year at the Elms, and dancing with the girls at the Elms. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at family dinners, and also doing his woodworking which he spent many hours at carving out cat figures of all kinds and beautiful crosses, amongst other things.Lawrence is survived by his sister, Lillian Spares, Lower Sackville; brother, Brent (Nita) Eddy, Sweets Corner; many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Stewart, Kenneth and Keith.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Windsor Elms Village, especially those on Osprey 4, for all of their tender loving care showed to Lawrence through his stay there.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where a funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, Rev. Debra Mosher officiating. Interment will follow in Hillaton Cemetery, Saxon St., Hillaton, Kings Co.
