Dear Judy, Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dennis was a faithful pastor and leader in our Convention family of Churches and he will be sadly missed. I appreciated his leadership and service on the Pension and Insurance Board where I got to see him more often. I regret that I never did have an opportunity to have a round of golf with Dennis. I am sure your grief is real and deep and yet it is wonderful to know Dennis's suffering is over and he is with the Lord he loved. He will be deeply missed and please be assured of our love and prayers for you and your family. Blessings in Christ, Peter Reid

Judy Leamont, My name is Rev. David Wheeler, I've been the pastor of The Canso United Baptist Church since July 1992, I have not had the pleasure of meeting you & your late husband Dennis, but I have heard several stories from Deacon John & Winnie Bent, Lorraine & late Deacon Clyde Lumsden & Gerald & Florence Bennett...they remember you people & have spoken very highly of you.We have been praying for you for the last several weeks in our church. Now that Rev. Dennis is gone home to be with the Lord, on behalf of the Canso Baptist Church we offer you & your family our sincere condolences, Love & Prayers. As I was reading the obituary today, I can see that Pastor Dennis has received several promotions thro-out his life time, but the greatest promotion that any man or women could ever receive are the promotions that comes from God, important as other promotions are but God's are far greater... Your beloveth husband has been promoted from HIS EARTHLY LIFE TO HIS ETERNAL LIFE...FROM HIS EARTHLY BODY TO HIS GLORIFIED BODY...FROM HIS EARTHLY HOUSE TO HIS ETERNAL HOUSE IN HEAVEN... FROM HIS EARTHLY REWARDS TO HIS ETERNAL REWARDS... YES...PROMOTED TO HEAVEN TO BE WITH JESUS FOR ALL OF ETERNITY, the One he loved & served faithfully here in this life. Sister Judy, you & your family have many Wonderful & Fond Memories of your late beloveth husband & father of his children, keep those memories alive in your heart & never let them die. Keep that hope alive in your heart because very soon you'll see him again. He is now safe forever in the arms of Jesus, free from all pain & suffering. Perhaps some day my wife Betty & I will have the pleasure of meeting you. God Bless you, may you rest in His comforting arms & be filled with His peace. David Wheeler, Pastor of Canso United Baptist Church, P.O. Box 430, Canso, N.S. BOH 1HO (902) 366-2323

Judy, Our hearts are heavy as we read Dennis' obituary. We consider it a privilege to be counted as one of his friends. His words of wisdom, spoken in kindness, were always an inspiration to us. We will miss him deeply but know without a doubt that he is free from the cares of tomorrow. We remember his deep voice singing in our church, Shackled by a heavy burden. He doesn't have to sing that anymore. He's free, praise the Lord, free at last. We are sending our love to you and your family at this time and pray that God will comfort and strengthen you daily.
