Obituary of Ruby L. Wile

Age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at her home in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born on August 19, 1930 in Three Mile Plains, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Pearl (Caldwell) Lowthers. Ruby was a former member of Windsor United Church and a loving mother who loved to cook and knit. She loved music, her many cats and being in her flower beds. Her prized possessions were her African Violets.She is survived by her son, Michael (Diane) Wile, Curry’s Corner; daughters, Janet Wile, Toronto; Peggy Wile, Falmouth and Suzanne Wile, Halifax. She is predeceased by her husband, Aubrey Wile; sisters, Ruth, Julia, Mabel and Grace; brothers, Sydney, Samuel, John, Reid, and Frank in infancy. The family would like to thank the nurses, staff, and doctors at Hants Community Hospital, Haliburton Place and Windsor Elms Village for the loving care showed to their mom over the past several years.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Debra Mosher officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Private family interment will follow in Vaughan Community Cemetery, Lower Vaughan. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruby may be made to your local SPCA shelter or the Windsor Elms Village, 174 Dyke Rd., Falmouth, B0P 1L0.
