It is with deep sadness that we announce the very sudden passing of our father, Leslie Anderson Boyd, at his home at The Gladys Manning Residence on Thursday, November 14, 2013. Born on July 8, 1922 he was a son of the late Wilfred and Rose (Ettinger) Boyd of Windsor Forks, Hants Co.Dad delivered ice for many years, worked at Fundy Gypsum and in his later years, worked as a carpenter.  He was a member and past president of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 009, Windsor and a veteran of the Second World War. He loved singing, playing his guitar and mouth organs. Dad had a competitive streak and enjoyed darts, bowling, horseshoes and washers, having some trophies to show for it. Fishing and a good game of cribbage brought joy as well. He looked forward to their camping days and the trips he and Mum took over the years, especially their trip to Holland. He was proud of his volunteering for Meals on Wheels for many years. Visits from his grandchildren and especially, his great grandchildren made his day.He is survived by daughters, Anne (Richard) Cochran, Windsor and Sandra Lerette, Belmont; two granddaughters, Lisa (Wesa) Gleave, Hantsport and Gina (Sheldon) Benedict, Falmouth; one grandson, Robert Lerette, Belmont; great-grandchildren, Solomon Gleave, Sophie and Emmy Benedict, Kaleigh and Jaya Lerette; special friends, Wendy Wilson and Aidan Carr; one brother, Clarence "Obe" (Betty) Boyd, Three Mile Plains; several nieces and nephews.
