WHITE (Little), Janet E., B.B.A.; FRI - Age. 59 of Windsor, Hants Co., N.S., died peacefully in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, after a courageous battle with ALS.Besides being a leading realtor in the Annapolis Valley for many years, Janet was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She managed the Windsor office of MacKay Real Estate until 2012 when she purchased the business from her friend and mentor, John MacKay, and rebranded it Full Circle Realty. Shortly after the transaction was completed Janet started to experience symptoms of ALS, although a diagnosis did not come for many months. She was passionate about serving her clients and community. Janet was a 25 year resident of Windsor and always felt it was the best place to raise her family. She was a summa cum laude graduate of St. Mary’s University Commerce where she was valedictorian of her class.She will be sadly missed by her husband of 34 years, Jim White; three wonderful children, Jennifer Kershaw (Ben), Greenwood; Andrew White (Katie Campbell), Windsor and Matthew White (Heather Lamb), Kingston, Ont.; grandchildren, Ethan, Kaylee and Aidan Kershaw, Greenwood; sister, Sandra Little, Halifax; brother, Robert Little (Susan) Seoul, Korea; niece, Rebecca Frankiss (John), Nigeria; nephew, Kyle Little, Australia; brother-in-law, Barry White, Windsor. Janet was pre deceased by her parents, Hugh and Mary (Holden) Little of Halifax and Windsor. Thanks to many people who travelled along the way with Janet, most particularly, Dr. William Enright; Bev Lyttle, of the palliative care unit; Dr. Chaisson, respirologist;  Dr. Leddin, gastroenterologist, and the ALS team at the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre. A special thanks to Terry and the team at the ALS Society whose unflagging kindness provides daily comfort to the many Nova Scotian families struggling with this horrible disease.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors Tuesday, October 29, from 4 - 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, in Windsor United Church, 613 King St., Windsor, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
