Obituary of Daisy M. Patterson

Age 82, of Hantsport, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born February 4, 1931 in Bareneed, Conception Bay, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late William and Hagar (Boone) Moore.Daisy enjoyed to play cards, bingo and go shopping and do crossword puzzles. She loved all her visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Daisy attended the Baptist Church, and was a strong believer in the Bible.Daisy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Malcolm; sons, Doug (Linda), Oromocto, New Brunswick and Wayne (Bev), St. Croix; daughters, Dona (Raymond) Peach, Falmouth and Lana (Bob) Shay, Hantsport; sister, Bertha Morgan, St. Thomas, Ontario; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Jennie; sister, Gladys; brothers, Fred, Gus and Gordon.Special thanks to Lindsay Preston for all the care she showed towards Daisy.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 8. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 9 in Hantsport Baptist Church (corner of Main and Willow Streets), Rev. Earl MacDonald officiating. Interment will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, followed by a reception in the Church Fellowship Hall.
