It is with deep sadness that the family of Gloria Faye Boyd announce her sudden passing at the Hants Community Hospital on October 4, 2013. Born September 14, 1931 in Wentworth Creek, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Viola (Flynn) Young.Mum was a very much loved lady who saw the best in everything and everyone. Her grandchildren, and especially her great grandchildren, brought a great deal of joy into her world. She had a great passion for her camping, music, singing and playing her guitar amongst friends and family. Her home cooked meals and special treats and cakes were appreciated to all who received them. She was a stay at home Mum when we were growing up and in later years worked at Stedmans, Kingsway Inn and Dykeland Lodge. For many years, she worked catering with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hants County Legion Branch No. 009 and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She loved living her last days at the Gladys Manning Residence and made some good friends there. She will be sadly missed very much by all the people whose lives she touched.Gloria is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leslie Boyd, Gladys Manning Residence; daughters, Anne (Richard) Cochran, Windsor; and Sandra Lerette, Belmont; grandchildren, Lisa (Wesa) Gleave, Hantsport; Gina (Sheldon) Benedict, Falmouth; Robert Lerette, Windsor; great grandchildren, Kaleigh Lerette, Jaya Lerette, Solomon Gleave, Sophie and Emmy Benedict; sisters, Valerie (Brian) Blenkhorn, New Minas and Beverly (Donald) Macumber, Thompson, Manitoba; brothers, David (Joyce) Young, Windsor and Douglas (Ella) Young, Avonport.
