MURRAY, Marjorie Gertrude - Age 97, of Wolfville, formerly of Hantsport, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in the Wolfville Nursing Home, Wolfville. Born in Digby, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle (D’Arcy) Hutchinson.Marjorie moved to Hantsport, from Smith’s Cove, and lived with Dr. G. K. Smith and his wife Mabel, where she attended school and cared for their son, John. She continued to live in Hantsport, marrying her husband, Robert and going on to raise their family. Marjorie continued to live in Hantsport until the time she had to transition into assisted living, which first took her to the Wolfville Elms and then on to the Wolfville Nursing Home. Marjorie lovingly welcomed visits from her family and friends. She was a member of the St. James United Church in Hantsport where she was an elder and a member of the U.C.W. She was also a member of the Hantsport Historical Society and the Helping Hand Rebekah Lodge, Hantsport.She is survived by daughters, Joan Murray and Kathryn Kilcup-Ellis (Carson Ellis); grandchildren, Craig, Tanya and Paula; great-grandchildren, Blye, Nicholas, Desaree and Deavon; special friend, Ryan Doyle; brother, Glen Hutchinson. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Murray; son-in-law, Blye Kilcup; seven brothers and four sisters.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation, by family request. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Saturday, September 28 in St. James United Church, 17 Prince Street, Hantsport, Rev. Heather MacDougall officiating. Private family interment will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport with a reception to follow in the church basement.
