CURRY, Shirley Ann - 76 of Falmouth, Hants Co., passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Falmouth on November 4, 1936, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Lillian (Redden) Boyd.Shirley is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bernard Curry; and their children, Joy (Dwight) Dempsey, Alonzo (Angela) Curry, Timothy (Michelle) Curry, Janet (Brian) Wile, James Curry, Jill (Rick) Randall and Sarah (Jason) Frank; grandchildren, Katie (Ryan) Page, Tyler Dempsey, Brandon Curry, Kristen Curry, Jesse Curry, Barrett Wile, Lillie Wile, Max Randall, Amelia Frank, Jorja Frank and Kailyn Frank; sisters, Joan (the late John Lawrence) and Carole Peterson (Ron Robinson); brother, Gordon (Linda) Boyd; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Curry; brother-in-law, Thomas Curry; and many nieces and nephews.She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her home and family, antiques, yard sales, bluegrass festivals in the motor home and renovating. She always had a long "honey-do" list. She was the family meteorologist and kept a weather diary all her life. Shirley especially loved winter. She was an avid snowmobiler and a member of the Hants Sno-Dusters. Shirley loved decorating for Christmas and hosted several Christmas home tours.Special thanks to the staff of Dykeland Lodge for their loving care and also to our "special sister," Cheryl.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation, by family request. A graveside service, open to everyone, will be held 2 pm Saturday, September 7 in St. George’s Anglican Cemetery, Sangster Bridge Rd., Upper Falmouth, Rev. Tom Henderson officiating.
