DANIELS, Jean Isobel - Passed away Monday, August 26, 2013 with her family by her side. Born October 11,1927 in East Walton, she was the daughter of the late J. Fred and Jessie (Curwin) Brown.After graduating from Normal College, Mum taught Home Economics until she discovered her creative passion as a florist working from home in their family business: Daniels Flower Shop. Dedicating most of her working life as a florist she considered each of her customers her friends and made each floral arrangement as such. Mum was active in the United Church, the Martock-Windsor Forks W.I.N.S., and West Hants Historical Society. Her proudest accomplishment was her family and the home she created for them with her loving husband of 62 years.Jean is survived by her husband Elliott; and their children, Dianne (Wayne), Sue, Gary (Lynette), Wallace (Lisa) and Jennifer (Dave); seven much loved grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret Brown, Laura Farr and her brother, Blair (Shyrlie). Jean will be missed by her cat, Gizmo. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bert (the late Jerry), and brother-in-law, Harry Farr.The family would like to thank everyone who provided care and compassion during the past year and a special thanks to the staff at Dykeland Lodge for their care during her stay.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, September 7. Funeral service will take place Sunday, September 8 at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre.
