SPENCER, Myrna Sharon – 68, of Newport Station, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 15, 2013 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Myrna was a daughter of Madge (Lake), Falmouth and the late Orland Lantz.Myrna made friends very easily and always enjoyed being out and around people. She loved spending time with her family and close friends. Myrna loved her cats, flowers, gardens and watching humming birds. She was a hard working woman and always put her full effort into everything she was doing. Although she was in ill health over the last several years she was still able to make the best of things and always wanted to be out among family and friends doing the things she loved most.Besides her mother, Myrna is survived by her common law, Wayne Leary; son, James (Gloria) Spencer, Alberta; daughters, Lesa (Leon "Bub") MacDonald, Gypsum Mines; Sharon (David) Hawboldt, Edson, Alberta; Karen (Todd) Miller, Edson, Alberta; grandchildren, Shannon (Josh) Smith, Chad MacDonald (Alisha), Jordan and Jacob Hawboldt, Ryan Spencer-Patterson and Cody Spencer; great-grandchildren, Kenedi, Quinn and Haidyn; brother, Marvin Lantz, Falmouth; sisters, Barb (Bernard) Ainslie, Falmouth; Wanda MacArthur, Three Mile Plains; Kathy Lantz (Kirk Flynn), Windsor; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. Besides her father, Myrna was predeceased by brother, James; sisters, Bernice and Mary. Special thank you to the Hants County Victorian Order of Nurses and homecare for making her home life more comfortable. Also, to the staff of Hants Community Hospital for all of their assistance and care over the years.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, August 18. Funeral service will take place Monday, August 19 at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Private family interment will be held in Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Town Road, Falmouth. Reception to follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre.
