LUTZ, Phyllis May - 84, Dempsey Corner, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at home. Born in Somerville, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Celia (Doherty) Ogilvie.Phyllis was a member of the Weston Women's Institute and was an adherent of the Aylesford United Church. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family.Surviving are her sons, Roger, Dempsey Corner; Robert (Kathy), Welton Corner; daughters, Barb (Don) Pinsent, Aylesford; Irene (Glenn) Harris, Berwick; grandchildren, Beverly (Myles) Smith, Mississauga, Ont.; Marion (Roy Hickey) Hiltz, Fredericton, N.B.; Cindy (Darren) Lawless, Summerside, P.E.I.; Nancy (Yves Labrecque) Hiltz, Windsor, Hants Co.; Bethany (Ryan Murphy) Harris, Petawawa, Ont.; Jeffrey Harris, (Melissa Prall), Greenwood; William and Daniel Lutz, Welton Corner; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Madeleine Smith, Cameron Hickey, Matthew, Mackenzie and Carter Lawless, Alexandre and Elianne Labrecque; Collette Oliver, Brianna and Braeden Murphy; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Ernest I. Lutz; son, Kenneth Lutz; two brothers and a sister in infancy.Arrangements have been entrusted to Bryce Johnstone and DeMont Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Service (902-538-8317). There will be no visitation. Funeral service for Phyllis will take place at 3 p.m., Saturday, February 4, in the Aylesford United Church, 2414 Hwy No. 1, Aylesford. Rev. Brenda Nesbitt officiating with burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Aylesford United Church, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to any charity.
