RIGBY, Hazel - 82, of Windsor, Hants Co., passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4, 1931 she was a daughter of the late James and Lillian (West) Stoodley.Hazel along with her parents and sister left Wales for Toronto in 1946. Upon moving to Toronto she finished school and became a draughts woman. She went on to work at Collingwood Shipyard, Ontario Hydro, the Department of National Defence in North Bay, Ont. and then Falcon Bridge Mines in Windsor. Hazel married Edward Terrance "Terry" Rigby on June 7, 1958 and in 1962 they had a daughter Janice. Hazel and Terry lived in Mt. Denson, Hants Co., from 1976-2010 upon moving into Windsor.Hazel is survived by her husband, Terry; daughter Janice Rigby (Darin White), Porter’s Lake; grandsons, Branden and Devon. Many thanks to the staff of Unit 200 at Hants Community Hospital for their compassionate care.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317).
