ALBERT, David Lawrence - 68, of Windsor, Hants Co., passed away peacefully at home, with his beloved companion and partner, Patricia Alexander, by his side, after a brave fight with a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John, N.B., he lived in Ontario until finding his home in Nova Scotia almost 30 years ago.He was a loving father to Bonnie (Tim), Michael, Laura, and Kerry (Craig), and adored grandfather of Amy, Maddie, Mackenzie and Anthony. He is also survived by his brother, Terry (Barb); sister, Judy (Wayne), all of Ontario.Founder of a health and safety consulting firm, Dave was well known for helping his many clients keep their employees safe and reduce workplace injuries. He was filled with smiling charm, and readily earned his nickname of "Silver Fox". He could always be counted on for a spirited discussion of politics and our American neighbours to the south. Well into his 60's, he took up running and competed in the Bluenose, found new love, backpacked in Belize and zip lined in Costa Rica.  He will always be an inspiration to those who knew and loved him. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the VON,  89 Payzant Dr., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
