Mrs. Murphy welcomed my family into the community when we moved to Nova Scotia when my brothers and I were kids. She was like a mother to us all, including my parents and she always took care of us in so many ways, not to mention feeding us the best homemade bread known to mankind!
Mrs. Murphy, you will be missed but you will always live on in the many lives you have touched.

Our family knew Leanna and Jack many years ago. We had so much fun playing in the back field and down to the water at their house on Highway 1. Such lovely people. Rest in peace. Condolences to all

Special thanks to the staff of Dykeland Lodge Windsor N.S. The care Mom received while in Burden Lane and Snow Haven are greatly appreciated by her family and friends.Mom was treated like a celebrity by staff and residents. I always felt very comfortable while visiting her there.

Sending hugs to everyone.
Laurie and I dropped in to Dykeland to visit one day. As I walked in the door she was sitting in the entryway and I heard . That looks like Gladys Parker. Music to my ears as she knew me that day.
We are thankful to Pat for the day he brought her out to church a few months back . She was so happy that day.

My sister Leanna was like a milepost, always there to set you in the right direction. Some of my earliest memories were of a time when i spent a lot of time with her while our own mother was sick. She treated me kindly and special.
A few years later going to her own house where she was always pleasant and would always have baked treats.
When grown we talked on the telephone when we could and was always her steady self.
I will miss my sister Leanna. May she rest well.
