Obituary of Edna Pearl Chambers

With great sadness we announce that Edna Pearl Chambers, 94, of Falmouth, Hants County, passed away on January 1, 2025 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born February 14, 1930 in Musquodoboit Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Gibson and Bessie (Moore) Smith.

Edna is survived by daughter, Peggy (Andrew) Jeffery, Windsor; son, Dwayne (Korena), Windsor; former daughter-in-law, Wanda; grandchildren, Lori, Andy (Wendy), Vicki, Jenny, Darla, May (Norman), Makayela (Akem), Matthew and Mark; great-grandchildren, Aurora, Braylen, Paislee, Bowden, Blaze, Tywaine, Rosie and Packer; two brothers, Gordon and Douglas (Corilee).

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by first husband, Herbert Eisan; second husband, William Chambers; two sons, Harvey and Robbie; seven sisters, Ivy Newcombe, Leah Myers, Irene Eisan, Winnifred Soper, Frances DeYoung, Eva Gates and Jessie Smith.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). According to Edna’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will take place 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 8 in the Falmouth Baptist Church, 404 Town Rd., Falmouth, Rev. Gail Whalen-Dunn officiating, with a reception following in the church hall. A private family burial will be held in the spring in Musquodoboit Harbour.
