I was so sorry to read the obituary for your dear Dad tonight. I wish I had know sooner as I would have wanted to go to the funeral. I have many fond memories of meeting both your parents and I was always struck by what a unique team they were and also unique individuals. You were blessed to have such a great father and I know he will be missed dearly. Keeping you in my prayers. Leanne

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Not having had the pleasure of meeting him, his life was so well depicting in his obituary. We all should take a page from his book and live life as he did. You are never really prepared for the death of your Dad. Your world seems turned upside down--things aren't as they used to be. Thinking of you at this sad time. Call me if I can help in any way.

John it is and has been always obvious how much you loved your dad. He always brought joy to my world, whether it was a friendly smile or that contagious, grin when he had a funny story to tell. He, thanks to your mom I am sure, had a wonderful appreciation for Cape Breton. Your loss has no compensation in words. I am sure he was there at the gate to welcome Rita with a wry grin on his face and a story to tell. Really sorry and God Bless. Neil MacNeil

I was very saddened to read of Randy's passing. I remember him as a well spoken, well read and well educated man who was passionate about sharing his love of learning with the many young minds he taught over the years. On a personal note, I feel very fortunate to have shared in hisF love of family that was so important to all of you. At a time when I waw feeling pretty lost and fragile your family provided me with a loving a safe environment where I felt safe and protected. Two things I so desperately needed at that time in my life and for that I will always be grateful. May you take comfort in the knowledge that you are not alone in your grief, He was a strong, kind and compassionate man who I will remember fondly for the rest of my life. Sincerely, Mary E. Seto (nee:Roach)

My sincere sympathy goes out to all of you. Randy was a great fellow teacher in Berwick School. He was also a friend and a teacher/mentor to Andrew in his formative years of preparing for his professional career in acting. Randy had a great sense of humour and upon entering the staff room at school I will always remember his "The answer is no, what is the question?" Randy will be greatly missed by all.
