DUFAULT (MacLean) (Frame), Edith "Marie" - 94, of Windsor, Hants Co., formerly of Meaghers Grant, N.S., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Meaghers Grant, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Blanche (Butler) MacLean.Marie is survived by daughter, Audrey Marie Rourke (Richard McCann), Windsor; son, Fred Cecil (Erla) Frame, Marathon, Ont.; grandchildren, Craig and Brent Rourke, Dartmouth; Brian (Rhonda) Rourke, Stillwater Lake, N.S.; Heather (Graham) Harrison, Ont.; many great grandchildren; sisters, Fran Fraser, Hantsport; Bonnie McGuffie, B.C.; Lois Rourke, B.C; Elgie Stoddard, Ont.; Marian (Wendell) Burke, Goldboro; brother, Burt (Marge) MacLean, B.C.; sister in law, Sonia MacLean, B.C. She was predeceased by husbands, Cecil Frame and Leo Dufault; brothers, Charles (Florence) and Donald MacLean; sister, Clara MacLean; grandson, Mark Frame; son in law, Harry Rourke.Marie lived and worked in various places in Canada and the United States. She retired from the Nevada State Hospital in Reno, Nevada. She was an energetic and active member of the community wherever she lived. She enjoyed crafts, dancing and travel and had many friends around the world. She will be well remembered by her many friends at the Gladys Manning Retirement Home in Windsor, for her devotion to afternoon tea and evening card games. After Marie’s retirement at 65 she took up ballroom dancing. She also enjoyed some extensive travels which saw her going to Australia, China, Rio De Janerio, Isreal and Holland. She walked the Great Wall Of China, she rode the Bullet Train in Japan, she shopped in Hong Kong and visited the French Riviera. She also got to enjoy going on many cruises.The family would like to thank Serenity Lodge and Christine McAskill, in Enfield, for assisting Mum with the transition into living a new life in the world of dementia. They went above all to help her. Also, many thanks to Dykeland Lodge for the care and attention given to Mum once she moved in with them and started receiving full nursing care.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Marie’s body has been donated to medical science research at Dalhousie University. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 14 in Dykeland Lodge, 124 Cottage St., Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marie may be made to St. James United Church Cemetery Fund, Meaghers Grant, NS B0N 1V0 or Dykeland Lodge Recreation Department, 124 Cottage St., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
