REEVES, Ronald George - 73, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late George A. and Florence E. (Usher) Reeves.Ron was a graduate of Central Kings Rural High School, Cambridge, in 1955. He was employed with M.W. Graves & Co. Ltd, which was later Stokely Van Camp and then Cobi Foods Inc., Berwick, until his retirement from there in 1986. Ron and his wife Marilyn then started up Reeves Accounting Service, Berwick, which has been of service for over 25 years. He was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon and treasurer for many years and was recently made an honourary deacon. In the past, Ron had served on the Berwick Town Council for 24 years, served on the Board of the Kings Transit Authority, was a member of the Kings County District School Board and served in various community capacities over the years.Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Marilyn Y. (Kinsman) Reeves, daughters, Rhonda (Ronald) Sawler, Berwick; Angela (Mark) Corcoran, South Alton; sons, Terence (Melissa), Windermere; Robert (Carolyn), Toronto, Ont.; grandchildren, Justin, Neil, Quinn, Keefe, Beth, Isabel and Alexandra; sister, Evelyn (Ralph) Sabean, Berwick; brothers, Leon (Patricia), Prospect; Harold (Ruth) and Henry (Frances), all of Cambridge; sister-in-law, Linda, New Minas; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Betty Reeves and Shirley (LeRoy) Connors; brother, Walter.Arrangements have been entrusted to Bryce Johnstone of DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (902-538-8317). Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m., Friday, in the annex of the Berwick Baptist Church, 265 Commercial St., Berwick. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 13, in the church. Rev. Marilyn Rose officiating, with burial in the Berwick Cemetery.
