Obituary of Jean Anderson Regan

Age 93, of Windsor, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024 at R.E.A.L Residence in Windsor. Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Harry V. and Alison (Dean) Anderson.

She grew up in Corner Brook and graduated from the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. Jean worked as an operating room nurse in several hospitals before settling in Windsor in 1974. Jean’s nursing career in Windsor included working in the Outpatients Department of Hants Community Hospital and also at the original Windsor Elms Nursing Home. Over the years she was involved with the Cancer Society and the Hants Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her nephews, Steven (Monica) and Paul (Brenda) Anderson, Newfoundland; sister-in-law, Sheila Anderson; step-son, Bruce (Debbie) Regan; step-daughter, Barbara Regan; step-grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Parker Regan (2009); brother, Gordon Anderson (2018); sisters, Cecil Mary (2009), Margaret Alison (2017); step-son, Bill Regan (2008).

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
