Obituary of Timothy Dean Baker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tim, of Ellershouse, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on October 16, 1956, in Windsor, he was a son of the late Lindsie and Pearl (Hubley) Baker.

Tim’s love and generosity will be remembered by all of his friends and family. He would give you the shirt off his back and make sure you had enough to eat. Tim was proud to walk in his dad’s footsteps as a member of Local #73 International Brotherhood of Boilermakers for 26 years. His work took him and often his wife, to many parts of the country. He looked forward to seeing his International Brothers at the job sites. Tim always said it was like a big family reunion. After retirement he found great joy in bass fishing, waiting to catch the big one.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Tannis (Tarrant); stepson, Cody Wiley (Toni); grandchildren, Jacob, Morgan, Connor and Lydia, all of Ellershouse; brother, Chris (Kathleen), Gibson, AB; sisters, Celene Pesony, Windsor; Wendy Frizzell and Andrea (James) Dempsey, all of Ellershouse; sister-in-law, Sheryl Tarrant (Derrick), Edmonton, AB; brother-in-law, Darwin (Marilyn) Tarrant, Olds, AB; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Kristie Sheehy.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses of Unit 200 at Hants Community Hospital and Amber Phillips from Palliative Care, for their care and kindness.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Ellershouse. A celebration of life will be held 2-4 p.m., Sunday, November 17 in the Ellershouse Community Hall, 429 Ellershouse Rd., Ellershouse.
