Age 73, of Windsor, passed away peacefully Friday, October 25, 2024 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born on May 30, 1951 in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Lillian (Mortimore) Fleet. Jean was the wife of the late Earle F. Spencer.

Jean is survived by son, Bruce (Michelle); siblings, Frances, Edna (Darrell), Judy, Debbie and John (Carolanne); as well as nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Sheila and Pauline.

Jean loved living life “on the hill”, enjoyed the outdoors and playing cards. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 4 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Celebrant Helen Lindsay officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment will be held in Vaughan Community Cemetery, Hwy. 14, Vaughan. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to St. James Anglican Church Parish – New Cemetery, P.O. Box 13, Newport, NS B0N 2A0.
