Obituary of Carol F. Barkhouse

BARKHOUSE, Carol Frances – 43, of Scotch Village, Hants Co., passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Guelph, Ontario on October 26, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Dorothy (Way) Seward.Carol was an amazing devoted mother, wonderful wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and dear friend to many. She was always there for her children, family and friends. Carol loved spending time out at the soccer field with her girls, camping, baking, cross stitching, reading, movies and going on shopping trips.  She was a volunteer with Brownies, Girl Guides, 4-H, and spent time working in the library at Brooklyn District Elementary School. Carol had an infectious laugh, a kind heart and a beautiful smile that touched so many. She will be forever loved and missed.Carol is survived by her best friend and beloved husband, Kevin Barkhouse;  daughters, Kayla, Larissa, Breanna; sisters, Sandra Barnsdale (Sid), Patricia Birch (Karen), Dorothy Seward, Shirley Seward (Garnet), Sheila Campbell (Douglas); brothers, Gerry Seward (Teresa), Harry Richard, William Olsen (Catherine), Steven Richard; several nieces and nephews and extended family members.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, P.O. Box 981, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 25, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix. Reception will be held in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre.
