It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Pauline Marion (Flynn) Millett, at the age of 93, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born in Newport Station, to the late Robie John and Ida Mae (Benjamin) Flynn, Pauline was the second youngest of 10 children.

Pauline is survived by her children, Heather (Steve) Connor, Paul (Pam) Millett and Ian Millett; grandchildren, Sarah, Jonathan, Nicholas, Grace and Megan; great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Alexander; as well as, many nieces and nephews and their children.

Besides her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Earle Reid Millett; six sisters and three brothers.

Pauline had a generous spirit. She loved hospitality and especially enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a phenomenal baker and was known for her delicious lemon meringue pies. She had a passion for helping international students feel at home and often hosted them for meals and taught them English.

Central to Pauline’s life were her family and the church. She was a woman of faith, was very active in her church community and led many bible studies. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and in more recent years, her great-grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and laugh. She will be sorely missed by her family.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff of Tideview Terrace for the exceptional care Pauline has received over the past couple years and especially during her last days.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A public graveside service will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, Pastor Darren Millett officiating.
